Prepare questions about publishing, advertising, revisions and product logistics before commissioning a UGC video.

Describe where you intend to publish
Tell the creator whether the video is for your own social posts, a product page or a paid campaign. Ask them to confirm the proposed use in writing and identify any additional terms. This checklist prepares a conversation; it does not interpret a contract or replace professional advice.
Platforms and accounts where you plan to publish.
Whether you intend to run paid ads.
Requested duration and geographic scope.
Whether you want to cut, remix or reuse the footage.
Whether you need any account-based advertising permissions.
Confirm every file you expect to receive
Specify the finished video count and format. If you need captions, a clean version without captions, thumbnail images or raw footage, include those in the request. Ask about any supplied music and how it fits your intended publishing use.
Prepare the product and script
Provide product instructions, approved talking points and a list of statements to avoid. Ask how the creator will demonstrate the product. For experience-based content, ask them to describe only their actual experience; do not supply an invented customer story.
Product delivery address and expected arrival.
Who approves the script before filming.
What happens if the product is damaged or unsuitable for filming.
Whether the product must be returned and who arranges it.
Agree on acceptance and feedback
Write down what a complete delivery should contain. Ask how feedback is submitted and when it is due. Separate a correction to the agreed scope from a new request, and clarify any reshoot process before ordering.
Keep a written project summary
Before placing an order, ask the seller to confirm deliverables, intended use, schedule, revisions and the final quote together. Use our brief builder to draft that request, then discuss the final scope with the seller through Fiverr.
Put the checklist to work
Draft your scope, then use it to compare the creators you are considering.
